We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Working Supervisor with a joinery background to join our team.
The successful candidate will be a fully qualified Joiner and will be responsible for managing and supervising the delivery of infrastructure projects and maintenance works on site. This includes ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, within budget, and in accordance with agreed programmes, specifications, and HSQE standards.
Daily travel will be required, covering work sites across the West Coast of Scotland, with occasional travel to other locations as business needs dictate.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage the set-up of construction sites, in accordance with company standards and procedures
- Efficiently procure plant, materials and manpower to enable projects to be progressed in accordance with programme
- Lead and direct labour and subcontractors on site to maintain compliance to programme
- Manage the use of plant, material and manpower on site in order to minimise wastage and maximise productivity
- Prepare task briefs and risk assessments for site work activities
What we are looking for:
- Relevant experience in the construction industry, within a managerial/supervisory role
- Working knowledge of health and safety legislation relating to construction.
- Fully qualified Joiner
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience within the rail industry desirable
- SSSTS / SMSTS qualified
