An opportunity has arisen for a Heating Engineer to join our team, based out of our Head Office in Elderslie, with travel throughout the Central Belt of Scotland.
The successful candidate will provide commercial and domestic gas, heating and building services engineering maintenance to a variety of clients, predominately within the rail industry, throughout Scotland. This will include repairs, maintenance (reactive & pre-planned), fault finding and installation.
Qualifications:
- Commercial Gas Qualifications, e.g. TPCP1A, ICPN1, CIGA1
- Domestic Gas Qualifications, e.g. CCN1, CENWAT1, CPA1, ICAE1
- Gas Safe Registered
- City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing, HVAC, or related discipline
- Full, UK Driving Licence
Experience:
- Providing commercial gas and heating related building services maintenance, including maintenance, fault finding and installation.
- Providing reactive and pre-planned maintenance services.
- Working under strict health & safety legislation and procedures, including dynamic risk assessments.
- Rail industry would be desirable but not deemed as essential. Full training and certification would be provided for the successful candidate.

Role Responsibilities:
- Responsible for commercial combustion, heating and HVAC bias PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the Helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are always met and exceeded
- Responsibility for other types of building services maintenance, to include fabric, HVAC, mechanical and other related tasks
- Repairing and replacing various mechanical and heating plant and associated accessories
- Compliance inspections of existing equipment and works carried out
- To provide call-out response for the client as detailed on the call-out rota
- To undertake new installations, major and minor repair works to clients heating systems
- Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant including basic fault finding
- Ensure that all heating equipment within scope operates to specified performance criteria
- To provide a professional service at all times and represent the company in a way which ensures customer satisfaction
- Ensuring compliance with HSQE regulations, risk assessments, etc.
